Challenge #7: Flower Power

Got Prima? Got Heidi? yeah us too!!
Get them out of the cute tins and jars they come in and get to cutting them, folding them, what ever you can think of doing to them do it...and girls...tsk tsk...we not talking about 1 or 2 flowers..we want to see some flowers...
LOADS of FLOWERS!!

Bust out your loot and get floral all over the place.
Remember to post your links to your work in the comments sections so we can all be inspired to use up those blooms!

I was bound and determined to use up every large prima and HS flower i owned and with this layout I DID JUST THAT!!

Simone's:

I used to really stock up on Dollar store flowers and just pull them from their stems.
I still have a few bushels to use up, so I worked them here.
All stuck to the page with glue dots.
That is a band of ribbon with the title written on it with White Sharpie Extra Fine Paint marker, it is currently my favorite of all my white writing utensils.

Also Simone:

Once I got started using up my flowers, I just couldn't stop.
These were once my coveted, only to be looked at supply.
I only own 2 little milk bottles, but they are the same 2 bottles I bought 3 years ago!
Not anymore, I am using up those babies in a big way.
That vase...well, that's a piece of clear packaging with blue vellum for the water.
The vase was hand drawn (badly) with a Slick Writer.

EDITED: THIS IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS!
EVERYBODY WHO SIGNED UP IN THE COMMENTS SECTION...YOU'RE IN!

WE'RE BIG RULE BREAKERS LIKE THAT.

Here at Scrap Your Crap, we love to see what other people are doing with what they have been collecting.
How you have been scrapping your

So we would like to invite you to join us in a special challenge!

This is a one time commitment with plenty of time to work with and the most completely relaxed guidelines.
It's called the scrap MY crap challenge.

If you would like to participate, you will receive a crafty item in the mail that is from my own personal stash of crap.
Don't worry, it is not the gross patterned paper I posted last week, it is something actually useable.
Then you will create something with that item.
It can be anything! A card, project, scrapbook page...ANYTHING.
You will then take a picture, scan...whatever your preference...and email to us on or before April 30th.

Items will be sent out this week, so that will give you 6 weeks to make something.
All projects will be posted on the SYC blog on May 5th.

We ask that each person post your projects wherever you normally would, galleries, MBs, blogs...anywhere you would like, but not until May 5th.
You are welcome to hint to it, but please do not post them to May5th.

If you would like to pay it forward with a freebie from your own stash to your own blog readers, feel free to spread the love, that is how I got this wonderful item to begin with.
Again...totally up to you.

If you would like to play along...all you have to do is Comment in the section for this post that you are in and then email us at scrapyourcrap at gee mail dot com with....

your name

We are taking the first 5 people who sign up in the comments section and email us your information at scrap your crap at gmail dot com.

Thanks for joining us and we look forward to seeing what you can do with My crap!

Challenge #6: Unloved Stamps

Stamps are the one thing I buy with the best intentions and then only use a select few.
And it seems that there are many other people who do the same thing because when I suggested this challenge to Greta, her response was...
"I have so many to choose from, which ones should I use?"

So, this week...Pull out those stamps you've never or barely ever used.
You know, the ones you may have never even mounted.
Or that are still in the packaging.
Or you think you used once on that one card a year ago and never touched again....
Those are the stamps we are looking for.
Show us your Unloved Stamps, they wanna have fun too!!

And remember...If you've joined us in this challenge, we'd love to see those cards, pages or projects, so be sure to add a link in the comments section.
